Why choose BYU?:
“I had always wanted to go to BYU growing up. My parents both attended BYU and I knew it would be a great environment for me to grow intellectually as well as spiritually. Playing soccer in such great facilities and having the great support we have financially in the program without being NCAA sanctioned made it even more appealing option for me.”

Who has influenced you:
My parents have been one of my greatest influences. My dad always told me I could be a great athlete but that I would have to work at it and practice and live righteously. They were always there at my games as often as they could be. My dad was always a great inspiration to me because he would come to many of my games even though it was difficult for him because of health problems. My mom would leave work early often to catch my games and to cheer me on. My dad once worked quite a bit of overtime to give me the opportunity to go to a soccer camp in England for three weeks. I owe so much to them in what I have become as an athlete and in every other way.
Ed Diviney, he persuaded me to continue to play soccer rather than play football when I turned twelve. When my parents were unable to attend my games or give me rides to practice he would many times give me rides and pick me up. He was my coach for many years and helped me learn the fundamentals of the game and helped me gain a love and appreciation for the beautiful game.
Shawn Johnson, he was my high school soccer coach. He was such a great motivator and helped me learn the character I should have not only as an athlete but also as an individual. He taught me a lot about the importance of team unity and brotherhood. He always pushed us to be more individually and as a team.
My siblings, they have all been outstanding examples to me. They are so wonderful. They have always supported me in my life. They have always celebrated with me in my achievements and show great excitement when I excel in anything. They are such great examples of living the Gospel of Jesus Christ and being kind and respectful of others. I owe much of what I have become to them.
