Head Coach-Chris Watkins Interview:

Provo, UTAH (Feb. 27, 2010) -- After three days of 8v8, 11v11, 2-mile runs, 100 yard dashes, and mental stress, the BYU men's soccer team announced its 2010 roster.

"We'll have a great team," said head coach, Chris Watkins. "There's a lot of good players. Special players? We'll find out. There's certainly more talent on this year's roster than we had last year.

On the flip side, we had to cut a lot of people that were very good and a lot of players that were on our roster in the past. That was very hard to do.

We know we have a good team and we look forward to the future."

The roster features 14 players from last year's Premier Development League team, five recently returned missionaries, two transfers, two freshman already enrolled at BYU, five high school seniors who will join the team following their high school graduations this summer, and one carry over from the fall roster.

The team held its first official practice March 1. The season begins May 8 on the road against the Orange County Blue Star.
