PROVO, Utah (Jan. 28, 2010) -- The BYU men and women's soccer teams will host a tournament Saturday, January 30 in the Indoor Practice Facility from 5-10:30 p.m.

The tournament will feature 10 teams of 10 players each. Two girls from the BYU women's team will play on each squad with the rest of the teams filled out with men's team players, BYU students, staff, or team alumni. Each player pays $10 to participate. Proceeds will go toward toward stadium maintenance.

BYU Men's coach, Chris Watkins feels confident about his team's chance to win the tournament for the second time in three years. "We're pretty much a lock to win," he said. "We've set up the teams pretty well. You have to play the game and I don't want to sound overconfident but six goals (margin of victory) sounds about fair for the final."

The games will be 8 on 8, two games at a time until the 10 p.m. semifinal and 10:30 p.m. final. Spectators can watch for free in the IPF. The winners will receive tee shirts but the members of the winning team on the BYU women's soccer team cannot because of NCAA rules.
