PROVO, Utah (Oct. 22, 2009) – The BYU men’s soccer team finished the fall exhibition season (1-1-1) last Friday with a 1-1 tie (2OT) against Weber State but the fall games aren’t finished. A team of BYU alumni will host the Utah Valley Wolverines this Friday in two games at the Stadium at South Field at 6:30 & 8:00 p.m. The Alumni will play each other Saturday at 1 p.m. at Haws Field.
"It’s a great opportunity for both sides. The players on the current team to get to know some of the alumni...and for the alumni to get together is fun," said BYU assistant coach Chad Sackett.
"It’s a good opportunity to try to show each other that we’ve still got it to some degree and for others to show that we’ve gained a few pounds. It’s nice to face an uncommon opponent in UVU. It’s fun for the guys because it’s a competitive game."
